The value of excellent customer service
Apr 9th
After working with several clients and setting up web sites using various host companies and domain registrars it has become apparent to me: You cannot put a price on excellent customer service. If there is one thing that I could avoid when making web sites it would be dealing with these mom-and-pop-shop hosting and domain companies. A domain registration site that doesn’t allow you to make changes yourself? Really?! I wish GoDaddy would just buy everyone out. Much of this may be going right over your head, but the moral of the story is when you are thinking of creating a web site do your best to research the hosting companies with the best customer service. Web sites are a piece of technology and as you know, technology can break. When you’re web site is down and you can’t do anything about it, it’s a real headache. Prior to signing up for a hosting company or registering a domain, always consult someone with experience or look through forums. Here are some suggestions below for companies I have worked with:
Domain Registration
GoDaddy allows for an array of customization in regards to your domain name and it’s by far, the easiest site to work with on the customer service side.
Great Hosting Companies
Good luck out there. Contact me with any questions.
